Thorpedo (TS-6000)
The Thorpedo has been flown in two different sizes: 16 feet long and 24 feet long.
The Thorpedo, also known by its acronym TS-6000, is designed for high speed and endurance flight with launch capability from modest runways or from most manned aircraft from standard NATO ordnance pylons.
Given these basics characteristics, the Thorpedo has multiple uses. It was designed and built as a Measurement and Signatures Intelligence (MASINT) Tactical UAV to provide warfighter unprecedented capabilities to find the enemy in buried revetments, forests, and hidden facilities.
The signature capability of the Thorpedo is its speed of 400 knots with a payload of 100 pounds.
