A series of platforms for the technology demonstration vehicle were tested at the Mesa, Arizona facility. Here, substantiating test data was produced for validating analytical models of the Spinwing vehicle. The photograph depicts an early Whirlstand model prior to running up on the stand. Tests were conducted in and out of ground effect.
